Used Yamato Model DL-41 Laboratory Spray Dryer is a compact, laboratory-scale spray drying system designed for the production of fine powders from liquid samples in research, product development, and pilot-scale applications. This versatile unit is capable of producing fine granules with particle sizes ranging from approximately 40 to 100 microns, while offering a maximum water evaporation capacity of approximately 3,000 mL per hour for efficient drying performance. The system features an adjustable operating temperature range from 40 to 300 degrees C (104 to 572 degrees F) and accommodates liquid feed rates of up to 80 mL per minute, providing excellent process flexibility for a wide variety of formulations. The unit is equipped with a two-fluid atomizing nozzle incorporating a 0.7 mm orifice for consistent atomization and uniform particle production. The spray dryer includes an approximately 17-3/4" diameter x 39" high glass drying chamber, allowing clear visual observation of the drying process, along with a 3-1/2" diameter x 6" straight-side cyclone separator and a 3-3/4" diameter x 9-3/4" straight-side collection jar for efficient powder recovery. The electrically heated system operates on 220 Volt power and is mounted on casters for convenient mobility within laboratory or pilot plant environments. Designed for laboratory-scale drying of solutions, suspensions, and extracts, the Yamato DL-41 is ideally suited for research and development as well as pilot-scale work in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food ingredient, chemical, biotechnology, and plant extract industries. It is an excellent choice for producing uniform fine powders in the 40 to 100 micron range with repeatable, controlled processing. Serial # B0400003.
