Unused Babcock & Wilcox 1000 kg/hr Ethanol Distillation System MEGTEC, Stainless Steel, Built 2017. MEGTEC. Rated for 1000 kg/hr of 20% food-grade ethanol to 90% ethanol concentration, or alternatively 500 kg/hr of 45% ethanol to 90% ethanol. The stainless steel column weighs 15.5 tons (34,100 lbs) and stands at a height of 31 10", with a recommended clearance height of 34 for installation and service. The base footprint of the column measures 12.5 x 12, though a 20 x 20 area is recommended to accommodate piping, access, and operational clearances. Utility requirements include 575V, 3-phase and 120V, 3-phase electrical connections. The system requires 1100 lb/hr of steam at 100 PSIG, along with chilled water supplied at 349 L/min at 5C. Instrumentation is supported by 20 SCFM of compressed air at 100 PSIG. Drainage access is required for proper installation and operation. The system has been fully preserved in unused condition since fabrication and is suited for food-grade ethanol recovery and industrial distillation applications. Built in 2017, never used due to project cancellation.
