Used GEA Niro Swirl Fluidizer Flash Dryer – 55 kg/hr Evaporation, Stainless Steel Skid

Used GEA Niro Swirl Fluidizer/Agitated Flash Dryer System designed for continuous drying of slurry, paste, and filter cake materials. System includes controls, an inlet air gas heater, and a stainless steel fluidizing slurry tank measuring approximately 3' diameter x 3' high with a bottom-mounted scraped-wall blade agitator and outlet to a screw conveyor. The complete system is mounted on an approximately 86" x 87" x 82" stainless steel skid for a compact installation. Operating specifications include an airflow capacity of 450 to 630 kg/hr, inlet air temperatures from 100 to 350 C, outlet air temperatures from 60 to 150 C, water evaporation capacity from 0 to 55 kg/hr, maximum powder production rate of 100 kg/hr, and maximum feed rate of 150 kg/hr. The system is configured for operation with natural gas or propane fuel and was built in 2009. Previously used for drying cellulose pastes prior to filtration. Missing cyclone filter.

Types of Used Dryers Available

Aaron Equipment offers a range of used dryers and drying equipment designed to support moisture removal, thermal processing, and material conditioning applications:

  • Rotary Vacuum Dryers – Enclosed systems that operate under vacuum to dry heat-sensitive or solvent-based materials at lower temperatures.

  • Fluid Bed Dryers – Systems that suspend particles in heated air for efficient and uniform drying of powders and granules.

  • Spray Dryers – Continuous systems that convert liquid feed into dry powder by atomizing into a heated drying chamber.

  • Drum Dryers – Rotating drum systems used for drying slurries and viscous materials into flakes or powders.

  • Belt Dryers – Continuous dryers that move material across a conveyor belt for controlled, uniform drying.

  • Freeze Dryers & Lyophilizer Dryers – Low-temperature vacuum systems that remove moisture through sublimation, preserving sensitive materials.

Dryer Applications & Industry Uses

Used dryers and drying equipment are essential across industries where moisture removal and product stability are critical. Common applications include:

  • Chemical Processing: Drying powders, crystals, and intermediates

  • Food & Beverage: Dehydration of ingredients, powders, and finished products

  • Pharmaceutical Manufacturing: Drying active ingredients and formulations under controlled conditions

  • Minerals & Materials: Drying bulk solids, ores, and aggregates

  • Environmental & Waste Processing: Sludge drying and waste volume reductio

These systems improve product shelf life, reduce transportation costs, and ensure consistent material properties.

Used Dryer Buying Considerations

When selecting used dryers and drying equipment, it is important to evaluate both process requirements and equipment condition:

  • Material Characteristics: Moisture content, particle size, and heat sensitivity

  • Drying Method: Vacuum, convection, conduction, or spray drying depending on application

  • Throughput Capacity: Match system output with production requirements

  • Temperature Requirements: Ensure compatibility with material stability limits

  • Energy Efficiency: Evaluate operating costs and heat utilization

  • Condition & Maintenance History: Review wear components, seals, and prior usage
