Pre-Owned Vacuum Thermal Instant Sterilizer (VTIS) – 65 GPM, Steam Injector System

Used- Direct Steam Injection Sterilization System, 65 GPM. Vacuum Thermal Instant Sterilization (VTIS) is designed to sterilize fermentation media at temperatures up to 290F for 20 second hold time. Product is pre-heated to 175F before going into the Hydrothermal Steam Injector. The Steam injector puts steam in direct contact with the product and then it goes into the flash chamber, which removes the extra water added from the condensed steam. Then the sterilized product is cooled to the final temperature in the Regeneration Heat Exchanger section. Upon exiting the regen section, the product goes from the VTIS Skid to the fermenter.

Types of Used Autoclaves Available

Aaron Equipment offers a range of used autoclaves designed to support sterilization, thermal processing, and pressure vessel applications:

  • Autoclaves – General-purpose industrial autoclaves designed for high-pressure, high-temperature processing of materials and products.

  • Steam Sterilization AutoclavesSystems designed to sterilize equipment, instruments, and materials using saturated steam under pressure.

  • Composite Curing AutoclavesHigh-pressure vessels used in aerospace and advanced materials industries for curing composite parts.

  • Laboratory AutoclavesSmaller-scale units used for sterilization and testing applications in research and laboratory environments.

  • Vulcanizing AutoclavesSystems used in rubber processing to apply heat and pressure for vulcanization and material strengthening.

Autoclave Applications & Industry Uses

Used autoclaves are essential across industries where controlled pressure and temperature processing is required. Common applications include:

  • Pharmaceutical Manufacturing: Sterilization of equipment, media, and products

  • Food Processing: Thermal sterilization and preservation of packaged goods

  • Composites & Aerospace: Curing of carbon fiber and advanced materials

  • Medical & Laboratory: Sterilization of instruments and research materials

  • Rubber & Materials Processing: Vulcanization and thermal treatment

These systems ensure product safety, consistency, and compliance with industry standards.

Used Autoclave Buying Considerations

When selecting a used autoclave, it is important to evaluate both process requirements and equipment condition:

  • Pressure & Temperature Ratings: Ensure compatibility with process requirements

  • Chamber Size & Capacity: Match system size to production or batch needs

  • Heating Method: Steam, electric, or gas depending on application

  • Control Systems: Evaluate automation, monitoring, and safety features

  • Material of Construction: Ensure compatibility with processed materials

  • Condition & Maintenance History: Review vessel integrity and inspection records

Why Buy Used Autoclaves

Buying used autoclaves provides a cost-effective solution for implementing pressure vessel systems without the long lead times of new equipment. Used autoclaves offer proven performance and are often available for immediate shipment, helping facilities maintain production schedules and reduce capital investment.

Aaron Equipment sources high-quality autoclaves from leading manufacturers, providing reliable solutions for sterilization and thermal processing applications.
