54263001Used Semi-Automated Mushroom Substrate Processing System for Sale
Used Semi-automated Mushroom Substrate Processing System. Integrates high-performance components to efficiently manage pasteurization, cooling, inoculation, and packaging all within a single vessel. Two jacketed Patterson All-Weld Paddle Mixers (37 cubic feet each) operate simultaneously to blend substrate ingredients uniformly while maintaining controlled processing conditions. Substrate moisture content is controlled using a Water Metering Sensor (FD-Q20C) and circulating pump, which measures amount of water added from a 120-gallon (A.O. Smith) hot water tank into the substrate. The mixers heat the substrate up to 98c through their closed loop hydronic heating jackets. The Reimers (RHC-360) Electric Steam Boiler feeds steam to the Cascade Flow Control Solutions Heat Exchanger (263450-004) which heats the hydronic jacket loop. A steam actuating valve (STERLCO D151-F) modulates steam flow from the boiler, maintaining optimal jacket temperatures and pressure needed to reliably pasteurize substrate. After pasteurization, the substrate is cooled via the jackets which are isolated and chilled through a two-stage Thermaline Heat Exchanger (T8 S-20). The first cooling stage transfers substrate heat to municipal water. The heated municipal water is collected in the 120 gallon water tank for later use in substrate hydration. The second cooling stage uses glycol chilled by a G&D 10 HP (GD-10H-HT) unit to rapidly reduce substrate temperature for inoculation. Inoculation is performed through a hatch under sterile Air Science flow hoods (36" and 24"), providing clean, positive-pressure air to prevent contamination. Substrate packaging takes place at the bottom of each vessel through an 8" pneumatic actuating valve in unicorn bags, long tubes, or by connection to another system. Mixer #2 uses a Spartan Controls automated control package to manage processing parameters like mixing, heating, cooling, and packaging via integrated sensors and pneumatic valves. Mixer #1 is manually operated. Sterile air filters from Davis Controls maintain sterile positive-pressure conditions in the mixers throughout the entire process. The steam and hydronic system include Axiom DMF-300 and CBF-2 chemical dosing units to maintain system pressure, fluid levels, and chemical treatment of jacket water. Supporting components including solenoid valves, expansion tanks, gauges, and pipework in steel, stainless, brass, copper, and PEX ensures durability and resistance to temperature fluctuations. Boiler chemicals in the heating loop and inhibited glycol in the chilling loop protect the system from oxidation. The integrated system enables efficient, scalable, and consistent production of high-quality mushroom substrate with reduced labor cost and precise control over all critical processing parameters.

14191137Used Ethanol Recovery Distillation Skid – 76% Recovery Rate, Hastelloy Construction
Used- Ethanol Recovery Skid / Distillation system, designed by Process Plus, is capable of processing 5,994 lb/h (718 gal/h) of ethanol-containing wastewater and producing 4,566 lb/h (692 gal/h) of ethanol, achieving a 76% recovery rate. The system includes a Steam Stripper Column (S-426-804) with packing, a Feed Economizer (HX404-804), a Bottoms Cooler (HX408-804), a Reboiler (HX-405-804), and an Overhead Condenser (HX-406-804). Wastewater containing ethanol, water, methanol, and trace solids is fed into the Steam Stripper Column (CL-108), a Hastelloy C-276 unit manufactured by Hebeler, rated for 34FV at 300F, and measuring approximately 44 feet in height and 2.5 feet in diameter (National Board #110, Serial #A148, built 1994). Ethanol is separated from the feed through a reboiler loop that circulates column bottoms via a pump. Solids are removed through a small purge stream, which is cooled to 115F using 85F cooling water in the Bottoms Cooler before being discharged. The ethanol-rich overhead vapor is condensed and cooled to 140F in the Overhead Condenser and flows by gravity to a Reflux Drum. From there, it is either returned to the column as reflux or sent out as product. When the Heat Recovery Condenser is in service, vapors are partially condensed there before final condensation and subcooling in the Column Condenser. The resulting ethanol product contains less than 0.1 wt% water, while the purge stream contains less than 1 wt% ethanol. The systems Hastelloy construction also allows for use in other solvent recovery applications requiring corrosion-resistant materials.

14191146Used Crown Iron Works Model 48 Milling Ring Flash Drying System | Food Grade Industrial Flash Dryer
Used- Crown Iron Works, Model 48, Milling Ring Flash Drying System. It was designed and used for food-grade orange pulp with 17,000 Lbs/Hr capacity but the plant can be used for a wide range of applications in various industries including: Drying food products such as grains, cereals, fruits, vegetables, herbs, and spices. Pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates, and final products Drying various chemicals, including powders, granules, and crystalline materials Drying minerals and mining products such as ores, concentrates, and mineral powders Animal Feed Drying and processing environmental materials, such as sludges, biomass, and waste products. System designed for drying of powers, filter & centrifuge cakes, and slurries where a discrete and fine end product is desired. The Milling Flash Dryer is basically a low energy jet mill, that uses jets of low-pressure air to encourage inter particle collisions between pieces of feed material. These inter particle collisions break up the feed material in the dryer with no moving parts in the dryer or airstream. The dryer is in the shape of a torus, or donut that is broken up into 2 basic areas: (1) Manifold & Milling area; (2) Classifier. The ideal feed material for the Flash Dryer is a crumbly and free flowing cake that breaks up readily when it enters the drying air stream. The feed material enters the recirculating hot air upstream of the first nozzle, with the centrifugal forces generated by the air concentrating the material in the area above the nozzles. Particle-to-particle collisions begin immediately, deagglomerating the material before hard agglomerates can form. A tremendous amount of surface area is created allowing evaporation to occur quickly, thereby depressing air temperature in a very short period of time. Centrifugal forces are generated by the recirculating gases within the dryer, forcing the larger particles to the peripheral walls. Finer material is displaced towards the inside radius of the dryer where the classifier outlet is located. Fine product exits the dryer along with the exhaust gas vapor. Larger particles or agglomerates are recycled to the nozzle area dryer for further de-agglomeration and drying.
