Jar mills are used for wet or dry grinding, blending and mixing for a variety of materials like ceramics, chemicals, glass, paints and more. Different size jars are used for different grinding conditions. Jar mills commonly come in 1 tier, 2 tier and 3 tier models. 1 tier jar mills are a bench style jar mill while 2 tier and 3 tier models are floor models that can accommodate one to two jars or up to six jars, respectively. Jar mills can use various types of grinding media such as stainless steel, corundum, alumina, agate and carbide milling balls.
