Fluid energy mills consists of a hollow toroid that has a diameter of 20-200 mm depending on the height of the loop which can be up to 2m. Fluid energy mills operates by particle impaction and attrition. Fluid energy mills use compressed air or gas-grinding system which rapidly expands gas to generate a high- speed rotation of material. This creates near sonic particle-on-particle impact, generating increasingly smaller fines.
