Rare opportunity to purchase an extruder of this size. Per Davis Standard the thrust bearing rating is actually 1,468,000 pounds or 665,874 kgs. Unit was miss tagged at the factory. Serial# AA454. Davis Standard 6.53:1 gearbox rated for 50 HP with a service factor of 1.25 for a 152 RPM screw speed. Gearbox was manufactured in 1998. Non-tagged motor is driven by a Reliance model GV3000 A/C drive. Includes unitized temperature control panel and 4-hole strand die on barrel. Year 1984.

Used & Reconditioned Davis-Standard Thermatic 60IN60 6" Single Screw Extruder 400 HP, 24:1 L/D, Thermatic Clamp. 24:1 L/D ratio, water-cooled barrel, integrated water reservoir, recirculation pump, and heat exchanger. Equipped with a 17.21:1 gearbox rated for 424 HP capacity with a 1.5 service factor, powered by a new 400 HP TECO AC motor (Model EPS4004, 1,800 RPM, 449TX frame) and new TECO AC drive (Model EQ7-4450-C). Includes five barrel heating zones and six die heating zones with new Novus temperature controllers and amp gauges, swing-arm operator station with speed pod, pressure and screw speed gauges, and a 42" centerline height. Fitted with a Thermatic clamp and barrier flight screw; screw and barrel are within serviceable tolerances. Heater bands have been electrically tested, barrel plumbing and heat exchangers have been flow checked, and five new Red Hat solenoid valves have been installed. Approximate overall dimensions are 216" L x 80" W x 90" H. Originally built 2004.

Features a 34:1 L/D ratio with a water-cooled, vented barrel incorporating six cooling zones; vent is located approximately 130" from the center of the feed throat and is currently plugged. Cooling system includes a 1/2 HP recirculation pump, heat exchanger, and 32" x 24" x 12" water reservoir. Driven by a 400 HP WEG AC motor (1,790 RPM) with ABB AC drive and a Davis-Standard Model 60IN60TPIH gearbox featuring a 17.2:1 ratio and rated for 526 HP with a 1.5 service factor. Temperature controls include six-barrel zone Solo 4896 controllers and seven die zone Omron E5EC controllers. Operator controls feature a speed pod with screw RPM, motor load percentage, and pressure transducer gauges. Includes hopper, 42" centerline height, and serial number PT238. Approximate footprint is 25' L x 8' W. Built 1994.

Used & Reconditioned Davis-Standard 600S Thermatic 6" Single Screw Extruder 300 HP, 30:1 L/D, Reconditioned in 2025. Features a 30:1 L/D ratio with a PE/PP screw and a 17.21:1 gearbox ratio. Powered by a new 300 HP Westinghouse AC motor with a new WEG AC inverter drive. Equipped with a refurbished 10-zone control panel consisting of six barrel heating zones and four downstream zones, all fitted with new Eurotherm 3216 temperature controllers. Gearbox has been rebuilt with all internal bearings replaced except the thrust bearing. Serial No. F-9731, S.O. 901180. Electrical requirements are 460 Volt, 3 Phase, 60 Hz. Approximate overall dimensions are 242" L x 74" W x 102" H with an estimated weight of 23,000 lbs. Originally built in 1998, reconditioned in 2025.
