(2) Freon (R22) screw type compressors chill the gas to required temperatures to reduce the dewpoint to pipeline specifications (2) Large gas/gas heat exchangers (1) Low temperature separator. Incl. piping, pumps, sensors, valves, and additional infrastructure. Used as a back-up unit for an offshore treatment plant capacity typically used 15 days per year during offshore plant maintenance, occasional operational standby testing and to process.
Overview:
This MT-Monberg & Thorsen A/S Copenhagen (now MT Højgaard) & Comprimo B.W Amsterdam (now Worley Comprimo) Chiller Unit is a high-capacity gas conditioning system designed to reduce the dew point of natural gas to meet pipeline specifications. The system has a total capacity of 10,880,000 m³/day (384,223,000 CFD) and operates at a maximum pressure of 78 bar (1131 psi) on the gas side. Originally commissioned as a backup unit for offshore gas treatment, it was maintained in operational condition but was only used for 15 days per year during offshore plant maintenance, operational standby testing, or processing of off-spec gas.
