It’s an exciting time at packaging industry leader Aaron Kendell Packaging Equipment. After a banner year of growth in 2016, AEK is relocating from Bensenville, Illinois to a standalone, state-of-the-art facility in Belvidere, Illinois, just west of Chicago, by January 1, 2017. The reasoning is simple: In two years, our footprint has tripled, and the value of our inventory jumped 25 percent from 2015 to 2016.
The relocation will not affect our relationship with Aaron Equipment Company, but it will benefit our customers by offering a much larger inventory of used packaging equipment in one space, along with a showroom and an area to cycle-test all equipment it buys. Customers will keep working with their same AEK sales associate throughout and after the relocation, so there will be no business disruption.
As part of our relocation, we’re partnering with Hilco Industrial to host an online auction of more than 175 pieces of packaging equipment from Nov. 10-17. Equipment available for bid includes shrink bundlers, cartoners, blister packaging machines, palletizers, and vertical form-fill-seal machines.
