Description

This Used Buflovak Atmospheric Double Drum Dryer, Model 6" x 8" ADDD, is a compact pilot-scale drying system designed for converting slurries, purees, and pumpable pastes into flakes or powders. With approximately 2 square feet of total drying surface area, this unit is ideal for R&D, product development, and small-batch production.

The system features twin chrome-plated drying drums measuring approximately 6" diameter x 8" face, rated for 140–160 PSIG steam pressure. Independent drum gap adjustment allows precise control over film thickness and final product characteristics.

Constructed with a stainless steel frame and safety guards, the dryer includes a product feed trough with feed manifold and a doctor blade assembly for consistent flake removal.

The unit is driven by a 1/2 HP, 3/60/208-230/460V, 1725 RPM motor through a 41.58:1 reducer, with VFD control for adjustable drum speed. Integrated controls and utility connections are mounted on a mobile stainless-steel cart, providing flexibility for lab or pilot plant environments.
