USED: Mobile separation system with a Westfalia CA-365-01-12 solid bowl decanter centrifuge, stainless steel construction on product contact areas, drive motor, solids discharge conveyor, control. Centrifuge only used for approx 2500 hours on food grade applications, 80' electrical-air-water and feed line hook-ups. Centrifuge system mounted in a 1993 International box truck.
PRODUCT DETAILS
- The decanter is a horizontal scroll centrifuge with a cylindrical -conical solid-wall bowl for the continuous separation of solids out of suspensions.
- The product to be processed enters the separation chamber of the bowl through the central feed tube; it is then accelerated to the operating speed. The centrifugal forces cause the solid particles to settle on the wall of the bowl in a very short time.The bowl has a cylindrical-conical form. This form was chosen because the cylindrical section of the bowl is well suited for clarifying the liquid and the conical section of the bowl is well suited for drying the solids.
- The scroll rotates at a speed that is slightly higher than that of the bowl shell, and continuously conveys the separated solids to the narrow end of the bowl. Due to the conical form of the bowl, the solids are lifted out of the liquid and any liquid in the solids is removed by means of centrifugal force when the solids pass through the "drying zone" which is not in contact with the liquid. The solids are finally discharged into the collecting chamber of the housing via apertures at the end of the bowl.
- The liquid flows between the spirals of the scroll to the other end of the bowl. The light impurities still remaining in the liquid are separated out by means of centrifugal force as they pass through the clarification zone, and are conveyed by the scroll to the "solids discharge" together with the solids that are collected in the inlet zone.
- The clarified liquid is discharged from the separation chamber via an exchangeable regulating ring. The liquid is collected by centripetal pump that dips into the rotating liquid in a separate bowl chamber and discharges the liquid under pressure.
- The Westfalia 365 horizontal decanter is mounted in a twenty-four foot straight truck. The vehicle is a 1993 International truck that is in excellent condition. Included in the mobile decanter unit is a self-contained lab to accommodate testing when required.
- The mobile filtration unit provides many practical benefits. Mobility allows the user to maximize usage of this equipment as it can be made available when, where, and as needed!
- The mobile adaptation provides the user with a cost effective alternative for filtration needs. Unlike fixed units, the mobile unit does not tie up valuable interior production area and is less apt to suffer the same downtime that fixed units often do.
- The mobile unit draws product from batch tanks. Hook-ups with the mobile unit provide a continuous flow of material from the batch tanks and back to recovery tanks. In the event of a food grade application, this closed system approach protects the processors investment by limiting access to the product being filtered.
- The Westfalia decanter is Model CA 365-01-12 and has only approximately 2,500 hours of usage. It was used for a food grade application. Some literature and data is available to potential purchasers and will be provided to interested parties upon request.
- The decanter operation at a processor's facility requires: Electricity within 80' (1) three phase 480 volt, 100 amp., connection (1) 110 volt, 20 amp., grounded receptacle. Compressed air within 80' air supply of between 80 psi and 120 psi, air line connection either quick disconnect or 1/4"-1/2" npt. Water within 50' standard hose connection, standard plant or city water pressure. Feed line within 80' standard connections are 2" tri-clamp npt, it is best if the connection is off the manifold of the agitated feed tanks, Minimum batch quantity required is 2,000 gallons Drainage.
- Solids discharge - The solids discharge is approximately 5' above ground level. Plastic totes, bulk bags with liners, or other such leak proof receptacles are typically used to catch the solids discharge.
