Reconditioned Delaval/ATM 48" x 30" Perforated Basket Centrifuge, 316 stainless steel construction(product contact areas), maximum bowl speed 1150 rpm, top load, bottom unload, 16 cu/ft basket solidsholding capacity, tri-pod suspension system, full length single motion plow assembly with (new) air-motor/hydro-check and replaceable blade, feed pipe, rinse pipe, top cover with inspection door, safety interlocks, B" to C" drivemotor adapter, (new) vibration switch. 1.00 Project Description: Aaron Equipment proposes to furnish a perforated basket electric drive, and control system package, to replace the existing hydraulically powered motor. The centrifuge will be furnished with a 50 HP, 1200 RPM electric motor, line regenerative variable frequency inverter, and graphic interface PLC control system. The power and logic enclosure will contain a power disconnect, variable frequency drive, and PLC logic components.Additionally, the enclosure will house a graphic Touch Screen", and operators controls. A second enclosure will be provided to house the pneumatic control valves, filter/dryer and limit switch interface terminals. An Allen-Bradley Control Logix", PLC will be utilized for machine cycle control and monitoring.1.01 Operators Controls: The system control panel to be furnished in NEMA 12 ventilated construction. An integral Circuit Breaker disconnect will be furnished for single point 480 volt power input. A color graphic touch-screen will be utilized to control and monitor the cycle progression, electronic drive, machine functions, and annunciate malfunction alarms. An Allen-Bradley Control Logix" logic controller, with Ethernet based processor will provide machine control, and basket rate coordination of the electronic drive system. A local multi-port Ethernet switch will be furnished for touch-screen and computer interface to system parameters. A pneumatics system enclosure, consisting of a filter/regulator, four way solenoid valves, and electrical limit switch interfaces will be provided for location at the centrifuge. Panel mounted selector switches to be provided for power control, cycle operation, and manual mode machine functions, as these eliminate repetitive touch-screen operations during the normal course of centrifuge operation. 1.02 Basket Drive System:The basket will be driven by a 50 HP, 1200RPM motor, sourced from a line regenerative variable frequency drive. The system will utilize a Torque based" ABB ACS-800 electronic drive that provides full rated motor torque over the entire basket speed range. When the basket is accelerating, electrical power is beingconsumed from the utility power source, just like a conventional inverter system. After the basket operates in the high speed spin mode, and slows to unload speed, the drive motor becomes regenerative, and electrical power is returned to the utility grid instead of being dissipated as lost heat energy. A digital Ethernet connection between the drive and PLC will be used for all speed command, control, and monitoring purposes. 1.03 Basket Drive Motor: A custom C" face motor with a specified Delaval/ATM Spline" shaft to be manufactured by Baldor/Reliance will be furnished under the scope of this proposal. The motor is rated 50 HP @ 1200 RPM, will develop 219 Ft Lbs. of torque in totally enclosed fan cooled construction. This is an inverter duty motor rated 10:1 constant torque speed rating. 1.04 Cake Detection: Electrical provisions will be supplied to interface a Cake Detector" with holdback cylinder if provided. A pneumatic solenoid valve to actuate the Hold-Back" cylinder, and a pressure switch to interface the cake detector Limit" will be furnished. 1.05 Unbalance Monitoring: A vibration monitor, manufactured by Metrix Instruments, will be incorporated into the control system as a safety shutdown. Operation of this device will decelerate the basket to an Unload Speed" condition so that any accumulated cake may be manually removed, prior to machine shutdown. 1.06 Pneumatic System: A series of common manifold, four way piloted pneumatic valves, will be provided for the cover locking, cake detector holdback, and product unloading cylinder. These valves, and a pneumatic pressure regulator, will be integrated into a separate machine mounted panel. Bulkhead fittings will allow connection, via tubing, to the various machine appurtenances. Pneumatic venting and filter /regulator drain will be carried to external ports. 1.07 Machine Component Installation: Aaron Equipment will be responsible for fabrication of the drive motor B" to C" motor mounting and anelectrical/pneumatic interface enclosure, for the termination of the limit switches and machine pneumatics cylinders. 1.08 Documentation: Cad generated electrical drawings, System operational description, Graphic screen layouts, and Manufacturers component parts cut sheets will be furnished with the control system. 1.09 Test and Startup: Completed system will be mechanically and electrically tested at the Aaron Equipment facility prior to shipment. 1.10 Included Items: A) System power and logic enclosure. B) Pneumatics and termination enclosure.C) 50HP Inverter duty motor. D) All documentation and drawings
