This New/Unused Paul O. Abbe RCVD-9 is a high-performance rotary cone vacuum dryer (RCVD) body, engineered for drying sensitive, granular, or powdered materials under vacuum. Built from Type 304 stainless steel with an 180-grit, 32 Ra polish, it offers a working capacity of 8.8 cubic feet and a 36" diameter body, optimized for uniform drying performance and product purity.

The unit includes a non-code 14.7 psig rated jacket, chloride-free rock wool insulation, and a 304 stainless steel welded shroud with glass bead finish for thermal efficiency. The dryer body also comes with an 8” loading cover, 6” manual butterfly valve, and a vacuum line with RTD for temperature sensing (no readout). A 1 HP TEFC motor powers the system, suitable for products up to 90 lbs/ft³ bulk density.

Note: This listing includes the dryer body only. However, new stands can be fabricated in 8 weeks, and custom upgrade options such as higher HP, XP motors, spray bars, samplers, gas purge lines, and full control panels (NEMA 12, 4, 4X, 7 & 9) are available upon request.
