Used Single-Effect Turbofan MVR Falling Film Evaporator Assembly, with Finishing Stage & Flash Cooler. Mfd. & supplied by GEA Food & Process Systems Corp. (formerly Wiegand Evaporators). All process components are 304SS, fabricated to comply with 3A Sanitary Standards,,suitable for any human grade food products. Product being Concentrated-Sweet Whey from the production of Swiss Cheese Evaporator Duty:-Concentrate 30,000 lb/hr of sweet whey from 5.5%TS to 49.8%TS while removing water at a rate of 26,687 lb/hr.-Flash Cool the 49.8%TS concentrate to 900F, while further concentrating to 52%TS and removing an additional 140 lb/hr of water. Operating Temperatures & Pressures: Evaporator vessels designed for full vacuum, allowing for boiling the product at ~1450F. Components available for this Evaporator include: (1) Pre-Evaporator Calandria with Integrated Wiegand Vapor Separator, 6-Pass, 1.5" OD x 40 long heat transfer tubes, approx. 1439 m2 of heat transfer surface. (1) Finisher Calandria, thermally heated by TVR, 2-Pass, 1.5" OD x 45 long heat transfer tubes, approx. 69 m2 of heat transfer surface. (1) Shell-and-Tube Heat Exchanger for feed preheating, 4-pass, 1.5" OD x 40 long heat transfer tubes, approx. 17 m2 of heat transfer surface. (2) Shell-and-Tube Condensers, (TBD)-pass, 1.0" OD x 45 long heat transfer tubes, approx. (TBD) m2 of heat transfer surface. (1) Schiele Model R073-1250KP Turbofan Assembly with Motor. Direct Drive Motor @ 250 HP, operating at 3,450 RPM (max) (LOT) of Turbofan Ducting and Expansion Joints (1) TVR Unit for Finisher (1) TVR Unit for Shell-and-Tube Heat Exchanger (1) Flash Cooler Vessel, approx. 20" Diameter (1) Serpentine Legal Holding Tube Assembly for Legal Pasteurization at a rate of 30,000 lbs/hr Equipment is available in as-is" condition, all components disassembled and currently in storage. Originally installed in a cheese making facility in Utah in 1987. All components are free-standing and designed for mounting on a ground floor foundation. Building structure does not support the main components.
