Description
The J. Oat & Sons 1130 sq. ft. vertical shell & tube heat exchanger is engineered for high-pressure, high-temperature industrial service. Featuring a carbon steel shell with 316 stainless steel tubes and heads, this exchanger provides excellent strength and corrosion resistance for demanding process applications.
This unit includes 434 stainless steel tubes (1.25” OD, 14 BWG, 8’ length) on a 1.5” triangular pitch, with a 1-pass shell / multiple-pass tube configuration. It is rated 300 psi @ 600°F on the shell side and full vacuum @ 550°F on the tube side, making it suitable for both pressure and vacuum services.
Designed with 7 baffles at 13.5” spacing, dual 6” shell nozzles, 14” and 24” tube nozzles, and an expansion joint, this exchanger is built to NB Code and TEMA standards.
