Our Bikes

Over the past couple of years, Aaron Equipment Company has collaborated with the Orange County Choppers (OCC) team of the hit TV show American Chopper, to build a number of motorcycles to help promote the company and some charities.

The Aaron Bike was built on an episode of TLC’s TV show American Chopper. The famous Teutul family toured Aaron’s headquarters to draw inspiration to build the bike highlighting all types of process equipment. The Lawless Electric Drag Bike was sponsored by Aaron Kendell Packaging Equipment (AEK) and Aaron Equipment and was built to break the record for fastest electric-powered drag bike in the world. Finally, the Blackhawk Chopper was built in recognition of the 2010 Stanley Cup Champions and was raffled off with the proceeds benefiting selected charities.

Aaron Equipment would like to thank all who helped participate in these bike builds and appreciates the long lasting friendship they have made with the OCC staff.

As seen on American Chopper

Aaron Bike

The custom Aaron Bike Chopper was created and unveiled by Orange County Choppers, the star bike builders of TLC’s hit show American Chopper. Teaming up with Orange County Choppers’ famous Teutul family – Paul Sr. and sons Paul Jr. and Mikey – came as a natural fit for Aaron Equipment, since both companies develop innovative solutions for their customers, and both are family run.

The Teutuls drew inspiration for the chopper by visiting Aaron’s massive North American headquarters, which has more than 30 acres of used and reconditioned process equipment. Everything from centrifuges and heat exchangers to mixers, plastic extruders, and tanks is available, making up one of the largest inventories of process equipment in the industry.

The chopper’s custom appearance includes a gas tank designed to look like a pressure vessel, and equipment-inspired looks for the exhaust, spokes, and other bike components. The bright blue and orange of Aaron’s logo make up the color scheme.

Lawless Electric Drag Bike

The Orange County Chopper’s team has done it again. They have designed and built a bike that has broken the record for the fastest electric-powered drag bike in the world. Yes, we said “electric-powered” motorcycle. The historical accomplishment was recorded at Virginia Motorsports Park in Petersburg, VA on September 24, 2010.

The “Lawless Electric Drag Bike” was sponsored by Aaron Kendell Packaging Equipment (AEK) and Aaron Equipment Company. Larry "Spiderman" McBride piloted the 363 volt, 4000 amp electric bike to a 7.469 second ET, 177 MPH quarter mile pass breaking the 176 mph land speed record for a battery-powered motorcycle.

The bike, which is owned by Shawn Lawless (owner of Lawless Industries) puts out over 600 horsepower, contains an electric DC drive system, a GE 13-inch motor and 1,980 A123 battery cells.

Raffled For Charities

Blackhawk Chopper

The 2010 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, in conjunction with the Special Kids Network and the Orange County Choppers Foundation, raffled off a special, custom-built bike that was signed by the winning team members.

Proceeds from the raffle benefited the Chicago Blackhawk Charities, the Orange County Choppers Foundation and the Special Kids Network. Paul Teutul Sr., the founder of Orange County Ironworks and Orange County Choppers and star of the reality television show American Chopper, was at the United Center to unveil the bike on the ice.

The bike was raffled off at the end of the 2011 season and won by a long time Blackhawk fan.
