Description

This used Ohlson (nVenia) Combination Scale Clamshell Packaging Line is designed for automated weighing and filling of fresh produce, nuts, and microgreens into clamshell containers. The system is capable of production speeds up to 50 containers per minute and features washdown stainless steel construction, making it ideal for food processing environments.

The line begins with an Ohlson Model IC-18-8-SS stainless steel cleated belt infeed conveyor that feeds product into an Ohlson Model MHW-CW14-7.5 SSD multihead combination scale equipped with 7.5-liter dimpled buckets for precise product handling. The system is supported by a stainless steel operator platform and stairs.

Product is then verified through an Ohlson Model WC-60 checkweigher with reject, ensuring weight accuracy before entering the clamshell denesting, filling, and closing system. The filling section includes a container indexing conveyor with four station positive entry chutes, allowing simultaneous filling of multiple clamshell containers.

The packaging system includes an Ohlson Model SLC-D64-$ automatic denester for 64 oz clamshell containers and an Ohlson Model SLC-C64 clamshell closer, completing the packaging process. The system is currently configured for baby greens and microgreen products such as baby beet greens, radish greens, basil, kale, arugula, and spring mix.
