Used- Keifel 40 mm Blown Film Line, Model CA4, 24:1 L/D. Lowboy extruder having an electrically heated, air-cooled barrel. A second complete barrel, screw, and heaters are included to convert the machine to a 30:1 L/D ratio. Gearbox is belt driven by a 30 HP Reliance D/C motor with SCR control. Includes hopper, water cooled gearbox, grooved feed throat, and operator control panel with seven (7) zones of temperature control. Instrumentation includes controllers for (4) barrel zones, (3) die zones, blower control, speed control dial, and gauges for extruder Amps, RPM, pressure, and melt temperature. S/N 0205. Manufactured in 1989. Very clean. 460/3/60 input power. Includes a 3? stationary blown film die less air ring. Includes 6.1 Kw air ring blower with 4 port plenum and a 38? Kiefel Model FW 811 single position surface winder for 36? diameter rolls. Includes winder operator control panel with preset footage counter, auto fly knife, auto transfer, second pull roll assembly, and two winding shafts. S/N 0141. 460/3/60 input power. Very Clean.

The Kiefel 40mm Blown Film Line, Model CA4 is a versatile lowboy extruder system designed for precision film extrusion applications. This system is equipped with a 24:1 L/D extruder featuring an electrically heated, air-cooled barrel and includes a second complete barrel, screw, and heaters to convert it to a 30:1 L/D ratio, allowing for process flexibility.
Powered by a 30 HP Reliance DC motor with SCR control, the belt-driven gearbox ensures efficient torque transmission, and the water-cooled gearbox with grooved feed throat optimizes melt quality and extrusion performance.
The operator control panel provides seven (7) temperature control zones, including:
- (4) Barrel zones
- (3) Die zones
- Blower control
- Speed control dial
- Extruder monitoring for Amps, RPM, pressure, and melt temperature
This system includes a 3” stationary blown film die (less air ring) and a 6.1 kW air ring blower with a 4-port plenum, ensuring efficient film cooling and production stability.
The Kiefel FW 811 single-position surface winder accommodates 36” diameter rolls and is equipped with:
- Winder operator control panel with preset footage counter
- Auto fly knife & auto transfer
- Second pull roll assembly
- Two winding shafts
