It was designed and used for food-grade orange pulp with 17,000 Lbs/Hr capacity but the plant can be used for a wide range of applications in various industries including: Drying food products such as grains, cereals, fruits, vegetables, herbs, and spices. Pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates, and final products Drying various chemicals, including powders, granules, and crystalline materials Drying minerals and mining products such as ores, concentrates, and mineral powders Animal Feed Drying and processing environmental materials, such as sludges, biomass, and waste products. System designed for drying of powers, filter & centrifuge cakes, and slurries where a discrete and fine end product is desired. The Milling Flash Dryer is basically a low energy jet mill, that uses jets of low-pressure air to encourage inter particle collisions between pieces of feed material. These inter particle collisions break up the feed material in the dryer with no moving parts in the dryer or airstream. The dryer is in the shape of a torus, or donut that is broken up into 2 basic areas: (1) Manifold & Milling area; (2) Classifier. The ideal feed material for the Flash Dryer is a crumbly and free flowing cake that breaks up readily when it enters the drying air stream. The feed material enters the recirculating hot air upstream of the first nozzle, with the centrifugal forces generated by the air concentrating the material in the area above the nozzles. Particle-to-particle collisions begin immediately, deagglomerating the material before hard agglomerates can form. A tremendous amount of surface area is created allowing evaporation to occur quickly, thereby depressing air temperature in a very short period of time. Centrifugal forces are generated by the recirculating gases within the dryer, forcing the larger particles to the peripheral walls. Finer material is displaced towards the inside radius of the dryer where the classifier outlet is located. Fine product exits the dryer along with the exhaust gas vapor. Larger particles or agglomerates are recycled to the nozzle area dryer for further de-agglomeration and drying.

This ASU plant also makes 100 KSCFH of Liquid Oxygen (LOX) & 200 KSCFH of Gaseous Nitrogen (GAN) at 400 psig, plus 69.2 KSCFH of Liquid Nitrogen (LIN) and 23.9 KSCFH of Liquid Argon (LAR) Less than 1 PPM 02 and less than 1 PPM N2. The plant has a film-type main vaporizer with two BAHX closed cores supplied by Sumitomo and is equipped with an alumina/CaBaX air purification system. The natural gas fired heater provides heat for regeneration. HP column has trays. LP column and two argon columns have packing. Argon production is cryo-argon" type. Liquid dumping is through forced air dump vaporizer. The LP liquid products are stored in two 525,000-gallon LOX and LIN flat-bottomed storage tanks. LAR is stored in an 11,000-gallon tank. The HP LOX and HP LIN are stored in a 6000-gallon tank and 13,000-gallon tank, respectively. The backup system is a hot water bath vaporizer with an estimated capacity of 1000 KSCFH and multiple coils (GOX, GAN, and Tank pressurization coils). The two hot water boilers are natural gas fired. LOX, LIN, and LAR trailers are loaded by pumps in one load-out station. A single scale provides Gross & Tare weights of trailers. The control system is comprised of (5) AB PLC5 processors with remote IO in 11 cabinets. The HMI was iFix32 installed on Windows XP. There are very few pneumatic and single-loop electronic controllers. However, no local panels are present at the compressors. Electricity is delivered to the site via aerial cable by Axiell/Westlake. The electrical system includes main plant, 34.5 KV high voltage electrical substation and overhead distribution lines from Axiall/Westlake cogen units to the substation. The distribution substation consists of a 34.5 KV to 13.8 KV 20MVA Transformer, an elevated PDC building containing a 13.8 KV Switc.

    Used- Crown Iron Works, Model 48, Milling Ring Flash Drying System. It was designed and used for food-grade orange pulp with 17,000 Lbs/Hr capacity but the plant can be used for a wide range of applications in various industries including: Drying food products such as grains, cereals, fruits, vegetables, herbs, and spices. Pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates, and final products Drying various chemicals, including powders, granules, and crystalline materials Drying minerals and mining products such as ores, concentrates, and mineral powders Animal Feed Drying and processing environmental materials, such as sludges, biomass, and waste products. System designed for drying of powers, filter & centrifuge cakes, and slurries where a discrete and fine end product is desired. The Milling Flash Dryer is basically a low energy jet mill, that uses jets of low-pressure air to encourage inter particle collisions between pieces of feed material. These inter particle collisions break up the feed material in the dryer with no moving parts in the dryer or airstream. The dryer is in the shape of a torus, or donut that is broken up into 2 basic areas: (1) Manifold & Milling area; (2) Classifier. The ideal feed material for the Flash Dryer is a crumbly and free flowing cake that breaks up readily when it enters the drying air stream. The feed material enters the recirculating hot air upstream of the first nozzle, with the centrifugal forces generated by the air concentrating the material in the area above the nozzles. Particle-to-particle collisions begin immediately, deagglomerating the material before hard agglomerates can form. A tremendous amount of surface area is created allowing evaporation to occur quickly, thereby depressing air temperature in a very short period of time. Centrifugal forces are generated by the recirculating gases within the dryer, forcing the larger particles to the peripheral walls. Finer material is displaced towards the inside radius of the dryer where the classifier outlet is located. Fine product exits the dryer along with the exhaust gas vapor. Larger particles or agglomerates are recycled to the nozzle area dryer for further de-agglomeration and drying.

  • Used-Air Separation Unit (ASU) Plant

    Used-Air Separation Unit (ASU) Plant. Produces 400 KSCFH of Gaseous Oxygen (GOX) at 200 psig and another 100 KSCFH of Gaseous Oxygen (GOX) at 3 psig, Oxygen Purity 99.5%, N2 Purity less than 10 PPM O2. This ASU plant also makes 100 KSCFH of Liquid Oxygen (LOX) & 200 KSCFH of Gaseous Nitrogen (GAN) at 400 psig, plus 69.2 KSCFH of Liquid Nitrogen (LIN) and 23.9 KSCFH of Liquid Argon (LAR) Less than 1 PPM 02 and less than 1 PPM N2. The plant has a film-type main vaporizer with two BAHX closed cores supplied by Sumitomo and is equipped with an alumina/CaBaX air purification system. The natural gas fired heater provides heat for regeneration. HP column has trays. LP column and two argon columns have packing. Argon production is cryo-argon" type. Liquid dumping is through forced air dump vaporizer. The LP liquid products are stored in two 525,000-gallon LOX and LIN flat-bottomed storage tanks. LAR is stored in an 11,000-gallon tank. The HP LOX and HP LIN are stored in a 6000-gallon tank and 13,000-gallon tank, respectively. The backup system is a hot water bath vaporizer with an estimated capacity of 1000 KSCFH and multiple coils (GOX, GAN, and Tank pressurization coils). The two hot water boilers are natural gas fired. LOX, LIN, and LAR trailers are loaded by pumps in one load-out station. A single scale provides Gross & Tare weights of trailers. The control system is comprised of (5) AB PLC5 processors with remote IO in 11 cabinets. The HMI was iFix32 installed on Windows XP. There are very few pneumatic and single-loop electronic controllers. However, no local panels are present at the compressors. Electricity is delivered to the site via aerial cable by Axiell/Westlake. The electrical system includes main plant, 34.5 KV high voltage electrical substation and overhead distribution lines from Axiall/Westlake cogen units to the substation. The distribution substation consists of a 34.5 KV to 13.8 KV 20MVA Transformer, an elevated PDC building containing a 13.8 KV Switc.

This evaporator plant was relocated and redesigned by BONTECH A/S (Denmark) for 6.500 kg/hour water evaporation for stick water from fish industry and now operating with 2 units of mechanical vapour recovery units (MVR) in serial connection. The 5 calendria has a total of 121, 100, 38, 38 and 13 pipes - each ?51 mm and 7 meters long. It is complete with CIP plant and still installed. This plant is in excellent working condition and ready to be relocated and put back in operation, after reconditioning of pumps etc. The Westfalia separator is not included in this listing.
