Machinery & Equipment consists of Super Sack Unloader, Drag Conveyor, Hydrothermal High Pressure Feed Chamber, Lochinvar Hot Water System, (2) 2000 Gallon Stainless Tanks With High Shear Mixers, Pumps, Flow Meters, IKA Works Dispax Reactor, Graham Ultraheat Plate Heat Exchanger, (2) GEA Westfalia CB 505-01-32 Decanter Centrifuges, Poly Tanks, Vapor Power Natural Gas Steam Generator, Baltimore Aircoil Company Cooling Tower, GEA P-Type/Feed-Type Ring Dryer, Miscellaneous Lab Items.

Method of processing lingo-cellulosic material includes the steps of comminuting the material to a size that it can be processed in a hydrothermal pressure vessel, drying the material in moving air to obtain a specific moisture content, packing the material into the vessel and subjecting the material within the vessel to steam under pressure, decompressing the vessel to return the temperature and pressure to ambient and drying the product to specific moisture content; the product so formed can be used for injection moulding or to form panel boards and the like.

Lignocellulosic biomass (LB) is an abundant and renewable resource from plants mainly composed of polysaccharides (cellulose and hemicelluloses) and an aromatic polymer (lignin). Lignocellulosic wastes are considered to be second-generation feedstock. Examples include bagasse wastes, rice wastes, corn wastes, spent grains and miscellaneous wastes. Bagasse waste is a by-product of the sugar industry; it is a dry pulpy fibrous material left after crushing sorghum or sugarcane stalks.
